About Keel

Built by one person who believes everyone deserves an AI assistant.

How it started

I started using AI to manage the daily grind — emails, scheduling, and the constant mental load of staying on top of everything. It wasn't perfect, but it was genuinely useful. So I kept building on it.

Then friends started asking for their own.

A realtor who needed help triaging her inbox. A consultant overwhelmed by scheduling. A freelancer who just wanted to focus on meaningful work instead of admin.

I built custom setups for each of them — sometimes multiple assistants for different parts of their lives.

Word spread. More people asked. Eventually, more than I could support one-on-one.

That's when the idea clicked: what if anyone could have this?

No technical setup. No learning curve. Just sign up, connect your email, and your Keel gets to work.

I'm Keiron, and I'm building Keel because I believe this should exist.

What Keel is

Keel isn't an add-on. It's not built to serve a product.

It serves you.

Think of it like a phone plan — you pay for a service that works for you. No ads. No data selling. No hidden incentives.

Keel is an AI assistant that actually does things:

  • It reads your emails and surfaces what matters
  • It drafts replies in your voice
  • It sends a daily brief so you know exactly what needs attention

And it does all of this through text message — because it's the simplest interface everyone already understands.

It works quietly in the background. It speaks up when it matters. It's helpful, private, and never intrusive.

Where this is going

Today, Keel lives in text messages because that's familiar and accessible.

But the interface will evolve — and your Keel will evolve with it.

The goal is simple: having an AI assistant should be as normal as having a phone number.

Not just for professionals or early adopters — for everyone. Your parents. Your friends. The person running the local shop.

We're not just building a tool. We're building the infrastructure for something that becomes universal.

Just like mobile plans became standard, AI assistant plans will too.

And we're building Keel for that future from day one.

What we believe

  • Your data is yours. Encrypted storage. Never sold. Never used to train AI. What you share stays private.
  • Simple enough for anyone. No jargon. No setup friction. If your mum can't use it in 60 seconds, we haven't done our job.
  • Honest about limitations.Keel is best-effort. It improves over time, but it won't be perfect — and we won't pretend otherwise.
  • Built in the open. One founder. Real product. Real progress. No hype. No vaporware.
